Choosing Daybed Comforter Sets

Choosing Daybed Comforter Sets

A daybed can function as additional furniture in your bedroom, where you can spend some time reading or doing other activities. It can be relegated to the basement as a spare bed for stay-in visitors. However you choose to use your daybed, getting a comforter set specifically for it can be a daunting task.

How it’s made is what will make bedding shopping difficult. In choosing daybed comforter sets, be sure to take into consideration the sides and back where the hardware connections are joined to the framework. It is advisable to look for daybed ensemble that has split corners to fit easily around the link spring.

You should also take into consideration where your daybed is situated. If it’s in a family room or den, it is best to choose an ensemble made of welted heavy-duty cover for durability. If it is to be used as a spare bed for guests, a simple linen bed skirt with charming matelasse coverlet atop can do the trick.

If the daybed is going to your room, there are a variety of daybed comforter sets that can compliment the decor of your room. It could be of solid colors or floral design; and 250 thread count 100 percent cotton or 180 thread count with 45 percent polyester and 55 percent cotton.

Daybed comforter sets usually come in 5 pieces – comforter, dust ruffle and three standard sized pillow shams. But there are always coordinating accessories that are sold separately. Standard size is 60” x 96” for the comforter and 14” for the dust ruffle.

A daybed may not have the same relevance as your bed, nevertheless, choosing the right comforter set for it can help you bring style into your room decor. The design and fit should be taken seriously if you want to have an inviting daybed to sit or sleep on.
